Here’s a different way to purchase a zombie movie. Or at least part of one. The makers of the upcoming Fist Full of Brains are selling credits on eBay, a practice they apparently pulled off to some success with their last feature, The Forever Dead.

A corrupt sheriff, an indian curse, tainted water, brothers bent on destroying each other, and an innocent young woman struggling with her place in all this. These are the characters that will breathe life into this movie. And of course the zombies, lots of zombies!

There’s a graded credit-for-purchase system:

$1 -$20 gets your name in the end credits to our movie

$21 - $50 gets your name in the end credits and a free copy of our last movie The Forever Dead

$51-$75 gets your mame in the credits with a copy our movie The Forever Dead and a copy of Fist Full of Brains once it is completed

$75-$100 name in the credits, copies of Forever Dead and Fist Full of Brains both signed by the Director, me, Christine Parker and a bonus copy of our short movie The Second Death

$100-999 A co-producer credit at the beginning of the movie, a listing on IMDB and copies of Forever Dead and Fist Full of Brains both signed by the Director, me, Christine Parker and a bonus copy of our short movie The Second Death

$1000 An Executive Producer Credit at the beginning of the movie, a listing on IMDB and 1 copy of Forever Dead and Fist Full of Brains both signed by the Director, me, Christine Parker and a bonus copy of our short movie The Second Death
…AND 100 copies of the finished move to sell at whatever price you like!

Original Re-Animator art

Legendary B-movie producers Charles Band is cleaning out his cupboards little by little on eBay, and this week he’s offering some original poster art for that most wonderful of Lovecraft adaptations, Re-Animator (1985):

Size: 24×30 RE-ANIMATOR was amongst the most well known films released by Empire Pictures in the mid 80’s. This piece of art was used for the original foreign sales campaign. A fantastic painting of Jeffrey Combs - it was also used in several countries as the key art for the film. Extremely rare and one of a kind! Signed on the back by Charles Band.

Bidding is currently at $280.97, with four and a half days to go. (Art from other, lesser-known or lesser-loved movies goes cheaper. For instance, the snazzy box art for Mutant Hunt (1987) is only at twenty-six bucks.)

Japanese Evil Dead posters and so much more

Sure, you could use a latex mask like this to make some kind of hyperbolic political “statement,” but seriously, wouldn’t it just work better as a freaking Halloween costume?

Be a zombie movie producer!

Here’s an Ebay auction that’s just a little bit different. BLB Media, LLC is making a low-budget zombie movie, and is looking for completion funds.

The project is now in post-production. We have a massive amount of pick up shots, gore shots and computer generated effects that we are in the process of adding to create a blood-soaked zombie romp. We have already gone through 50 gallons of blood!

All contributors will receive a copy of the finished movie on DVD and the appropriate “producer credit.” We will also submit your name to IMDB once your contribution is completed. This is not an investment, but a purchase of a movie credit. We have varying levels of “Producers” begining at $75.

So, what you’re buying, essentially, is a line of text in the closing credits. And, of course, the satisfaction of knowing you helped fill that void out there with another low-budget zombie flick. But they swear it’s one of the BETTER ones:

We are very much capturing the classic style of the, Italian made Zombi 2, and George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead movies, with a mix of Evil Dead style laughs.
