Of the five, I’ve only seen Dead & Rotting all the way through, and quite enjoyed it. On the other hand, I tried to watch Mulva: Zombie Ass Kicker! once, and it gave me a rash that still stings when I swim in salt water. Your mileage may vary, of course. And these are all features that Tempe has been distributing in single- or double-feature discs, so there are no public domain features that you find being released in multi-packs by everyone and his grandmother. Available for $17.99 from Amazon.com. Filed under: DVD Comments: None |

You want plots? You got plots:
Okay, maybe “plots” is overstating it. Here’s what you’d be getting: You also get director’s commentaries, behind-the-scenes documentaries, and a few of Sheets’ earlier shorts. Amazon.com has the set for $13.49. (No word yet on anyone releasing Sheets’ Prehistoric Bimbos in Armageddon City (1991) or Bloodthirsty Cannibal Demons (1993), but keep your fingers crossed, okay?) No known extras, though for $21.99 at Amazon.com, I think you have a right to expect some. Filed under: DVD Comments: None |

In the first of what may be, like, several cross-pollinations between my web ventures (you didn’t think this was all I do, did you?), I present a new T-shirt design from FusionTees.com: The Zombie Repellent T-Shirt. Complete with a money-back guarantee! Honest!
If you’ve fallen behind on your indie zombie movie purchases, here’s one way to start catching up: Tempe Entertainment’s five-flicks-on-four-discs set: My Dead Girlfriend (2006), Carnage For the Destroyer (2006), Dead & Rotting (2002) (the Special Edition version — ooh!), Filthy McNasty (2002) and Mulva: Zombie Ass Kicker! (2000).
If you’re one of the few people — the very few people — who has been patiently waiting for somebody to release do-it-yourself horrormeister Todd Sheets’ shot-on-video zombie movies on DVD… Wow, you’re weird. But you’re in luck, too! Naturally, it’s Camp Motion Pictures that steps up to the plate with a two-disc set.
It’s been a long time coming, though I can’t say it was eagerly awaited: Writer/director/star Charles McCrann’s drive-in horror flick Toxic Zombies is out on DVD from Telavista. Pot farmers get sprayed by the government’s new, untested herbicide, and turn into flesh-hungry zombies. Now THAT’S a case of the munchies!
