Waning Solstice (2006)

Here’s another little indie zombie flick released through CustomFlix:

As the witch trials raged across Europe one inquisitors name was feard amongst all others Martin Del Rio. After tracking a demon and losing in a battle he summoned a demon into himself to gain the power to continue fighteing her through the ages, then his journal and all the knowledge within was stolen. Now in the twenty first millenium his book has resurfaced and a girl without the commen sense to not fool around with dark arts she does not understand has unleashed a horde of demons and their army of zombies on a quiet little town. Del Rio and a handfull of college students are the only ones standing between humanity and hell on earth.

Okay, that could have used a copy editor. (And am I wrong in thinking that they really meant the twenty-first century instead of “millenium”?) Nevertheless, “college students vs. zombies” is a venerable plot, and at $10 for 80 minutes, it’s not a bad deal for microbudget cinema.

Get your Fist Full of Brains here.

Here’s a different way to purchase a zombie movie. Or at least part of one. The makers of the upcoming Fist Full of Brains are selling credits on eBay, a practice they apparently pulled off to some success with their last feature, The Forever Dead.

A corrupt sheriff, an indian curse, tainted water, brothers bent on destroying each other, and an innocent young woman struggling with her place in all this. These are the characters that will breathe life into this movie. And of course the zombies, lots of zombies!

There’s a graded credit-for-purchase system:

$1 -$20 gets your name in the end credits to our movie

$21 - $50 gets your name in the end credits and a free copy of our last movie The Forever Dead

$51-$75 gets your mame in the credits with a copy our movie The Forever Dead and a copy of Fist Full of Brains once it is completed

$75-$100 name in the credits, copies of Forever Dead and Fist Full of Brains both signed by the Director, me, Christine Parker and a bonus copy of our short movie The Second Death
